Why Apotheca began?
When I began studying natural formulation, I was excited by the sheer range of ingredients available. But finding clear, reliable information about them was harder than I expected. Useful details were scattered across supplier pages, research papers and databases. Some resources were costly, while structured teaching was often tied to a full diploma course.
I wanted a place where I could explore an ingredient in-depth without having to piece its story together from ten different sources. Or having to buy an expensive diploma course to access it. What does it look and feel like? How might it behave in a formula? What should I consider before using it? These felt like basic questions, yet finding practical answers was time consuming or simply disappointing.
Apotheca Formulary grew from that frustration. It brings ingredient information into one organised space, with concise sheets and short videos that let you see the materials for yourself. Whether you are studying independently or building your first product range, my hope is that it makes the learning process easier to navigate and more enjoyable.
